I met Jennifer years ago when she lived in the Bay Area and owned Prize (was and is one of the all time greatest stores ever) located in San Francisco and Oakland Ca. After years of being in business and to the dismay of many loyal Prize devotees, Jen relocated to Ashland, Oregon. Luckily Prize found a new home too, on East Main Street in downtown Ashland. I have family near by and when I visit, a trip to Prize is always on my agenda. Jen is a star. She has an eye for beautiful things and merchandises to perfection. Here are some pics I took when visiting just a few weeks ago. I know they say to keep your blog posts short and not to add too many photos....but I just can't help myself. The store, the stuff, these photos..... they make me nutty (good nutty). So check it out or.....Here's your Prize! So if you're making a trip to Ashland be sure to visit Prize~ Fancy Goods & Fine Furnishings
264 Main Street Ashland Oregon tel 541-482-0345 prizeshoppe.com My friend and talented owner of Columbine at the Town Center in Corte Madera, Michelle often has me come and write on her windows to promote a sale, trunk show, or special event. The best part is that I spend more time shopping in the store than I do working on the windows. Columbine is filled with treasures of all kinds and is well-loved by her loyal customers and local designers. Friday night I did the windows for a trunk show featuring jewelry by Lulu Designs - www.luludesignsjewelry.com/ beautiful store, beautiful jewelry - one perfect Friday night.
My dear friend Jill and her family (all 6 of them) live in Hudson Valley, New York. It's an incredible spot that never fails to inspire me. Here are a few photos from our last trip. Jill's store Tivoli Mercantile is filled with beautiful clothing, jewelry, furniture, pottery, and of course Hudson Paint (developed by her husband Arno). They are beyond talented and I hope these photos inspire you too.
